The lighting has struck the world below: a crown is falling from the top, smog and flames are coming out of the ruined tower, people are crashing down in agony…..the overpowering feeling of the end of one and all radiates from this image. All hope is lost and no one is protected from God’s rage – the crown symbolises those in power, the rest of the commoners are represented by the figures falling down from the tower. But is this really what the Tower means? Indeed change rarely is welcomed with open arms and embraced with joy and excitement. Can we have something new without demolishing the old one? Destruction is part of the natural cycle of life, death is part of life, sorrow and loss are part of joy, and break up is part of union… The Tower is here to remind us of Babylon and the boldness of humankind, the tower serves as a warring of unexpected and unfavorable event/s that remove many false beliefs, open the curtains and show us who we really are in the face of challenges. The tower represents the tower we have built in the clouds of our imagination in order to avoid facing the reality of our inner demons and to overcome our own shadows. The tower is referring to our unrealistic expectations. The tower is all that, deep down, we know it does not serve us, but we want to hold on to it as if we open the door, our whole world needs to change, we need to change and take a new path in life. We need to shed our skin and bring to life a new upgraded version of ourselves. The question is not what events will cross our path, but how much we will fight the transformation that springs from within. All CHANGE starts from within, the rest is merely a reflection of what is going on inside each and every one of us. Once the tower starts crashing down, it is because we are ready, knowingly or unknowingly, to make the next step forward.
